Well, I just typed a nice long post and then the Internet crashed and I lost all of it. The old Joe would have thrown this computer out the window but the new Joe is just pissed. Man, I have not written much for days, I pour out my heart and CRASH!. LOL. Okay guys, sorry, I was going to give you a piece of my Soul but you are going to have to settle for the humor part I was saving for the end. Joe Jeter October 29, 2014 (5 days left)

Well this was quite a post. It was so beautiful. You did say the “F” word, used the Lord’s name in vain and had hairy balls on your head. All kidding aside, you sound so good, won’t be long now till you are headed home. Can’t wait to sit and visit with you after I hug & Smootch you.

Those videos are gorgeous and I think seeing the animals along the way is a blessing. They’re all good totems for the traveler. The waterfall sounded beautiful, like you said, it’s God’s country it’s so beautiful. You have a good pace there too. As you walking and narrating you can see you’ve got a great clip going as you travel. May the rest of the trip as beautifully stunning and joyous along the way. Sorry the system crashed, but maybe it’s for a reason. Maybe you just needed to pour your heart out and let it go. Love you, Tim

Sounds-and looks–like you are on a roll Joe. The Basque countryside that you posted reminds me of the western part of Sonoma County around Freestone and Occidental.
Hard to believe you’ve only got five days left. What an accomplishment!

Tragedy! Dang! So bummed the internet swallowed your post! We would have loved to hear what you wrote!
Oh well. Glad you were able to write, even if you couldn’t share with us. You’re the important part of the trip, not us anyway.
Yes, chestnuts indeed. Rare in the US after the chestnut blight about 100 years ago. There was one big old chestnut tree in a field near where we grew up in Tennessee, maybe saved because it had always stood alone in a big field. Unbelievably painful to step on the outer shell if you’re a kid and walking in bare feet. We skirted that area religiously all summer while we were barefoot. But delicious. And pigs do love them.
You sound completely different, great. Wrapping up a great trip. Bummed it’s ending soon.
If you bring anything back with you, just bring the RAIN. Man we need it.
Thanks for the posts!
