For those of you who have seen the movie, “The Way”, we are within a stones throw of the Iron Cross where you leave your stones from home. The village we are in dates at least back to the 8th Century when the Spanish people from this region fled to the mountains to evade the Muslim invaders from North Africa. It was a great hike.
One thing I didn’t take into consideration when I decided to do this walk was the simple fact that when you walk hundreds of miles in a few weeks you build up a serious engine. The last few hikes have been just under 20 miles and todays’ hike was up a mountain. I could easily hike a few more hours (or more). It’s a good feeling.
Right now I have to keep this post short because there is no phone or internet on top of this mountain but there is a strong cell signal. I am tethered to my cell phone so I can write this quick post. Later on, after I shower and cool down, I might try to upload a few pics or a video from today. If not today then soon; I have a few classics. Don’t miss “The Sheep Jam” when I do post it. (SHEEP JAM 1 & 2 ARE NOW POSTED)
Buen Camino

That’s a powerful place where you leave your stones Joe. It’s a “milestone” on the Camino. Keep on doing what your doing. Tim
