I thought this was funny enough to share.
On Saturday night Tim and I took some old friends of mine out to dinner. Afterwards we walked to a nearby Bar/Restaurant in Del Mar to have an after-dinner cocktail.
We walked in and the place was mammoth so I looked around to ask where we might just find a bar. My eyes happened on a petit brunette in your basic “Forever 21” black dress clutching what looked like a leather bound menu and talking on a cell phone. I walked up and politely said “Excuse me, do you work here?”. She looked up and as she stormed off she said “Do I look like I work here asshole”. What makes this so funny (to me anyway) is that SHE did look like a waitress. I’m guessing now the “Leather Menu” was an overpriced purse but it was dark.
Of course, being the perfect gentleman that I am my only response could have been what I said.
“C..t”.
Sorry Girls, I know you hate that word but she caught me off guard.

I don’t know the precise translation from English to Spanish. According to Google there are 6 variations, the most popular being Cono (The “O” has the wiggly bar over the top of it ). My favorite choice would be Conejo (Rabbit). The sad thing is she was probably carrying a $600 purse and wearing a $300 dress but in the dark it looked like a Menu and a Uniform. Sorry, have to call it the way I see it.

What a piece of work! Miss Manners would be impressed. I think you should have said that in Spanish – sounds just as good and you get credit for restraint.
